About PhoneWise

Compare phones. Check real prices. Buy wisely.

What this is

A reference for working out which phone to buy: full specifications, side-by-side comparison, and a wizard that matches your budget and how you will actually use the phone against the real catalogue rather than a list of this month’s launches. The point is to make the boring part — how one device genuinely differs from the one next to it — quick to establish.

Where the numbers come from

Specifications are compiled per device and kept with the phone, so a comparison puts like against like rather than whichever figure a brand chose to publicise.

Prices are indicative USD reference figures, not live retailer quotes — a starting point for judging where a phone sits, not what any particular shop will charge you. The editorial disclaimer sets out the pricing and imagery rules in full.

No account, no ads, no affiliate links

There is nothing to sign up for, no email wall in front of a comparison, and no advertising on the site. Links out to sellers carry no affiliate code and earn nothing, which means a phone is never placed higher because it pays better — there is no mechanism by which it could be.

The privacy page lists the three things a review stores, explains that the wizard’s answers are never stored at all, and that is the extent of it.

What this is not

Not a shop: nothing is sold here, no order is taken and no stock is held. Not affiliated with any manufacturer or retailer — brand names and images are used for identification and comparison only.

Not a live price feed either. A figure here is a reference point, and real prices vary by country, carrier, tax and import duty. Always confirm with the seller before buying.

Not infallible. A specification can be recorded wrongly and a price can go stale, so if something looks wrong it probably is — please say so.

Telling us something is wrong

A wrong specification or a badly out-of-date price is the most useful thing you can report. Contact details are here.
